Accurate Monitor for Search Engines completely supports the Yahoo! search API provided by Yahoo. The Yahoo API is the only legitimate way to check Yahoo rankings unlike the default search method.

Here are some advantages of using the Yahoo API:

• The API is the only legitimate way to check your website rank. Why is it important?
• The API is usually a bit faster than the default method because it does not require Accurate Monitor for Search Engines to download the entire result pages. Instead, it directly provides the software with the current positions for each keyword.

Disadvantages:

• Results obtained through the API may differ from actual results because they are taken from another datacenter.
• The Yahoo API search has the limit of 5000 search queries per day.
• It is impossible to check the rank of paid listings through the Yahoo API.

To enable Yahoo API, enter your Yahoo ID in the Preferences window:



If you don't have your Yahoo ID yet, you can get one here. Once you get the ID and enter it in the Preferences window, you can use Yahoo API modules in the search engine list to search Yahoo using the Yahoo API.
